Last week, I had the pleasure of leading Alexandra Writers Centre Society workshop participants in the craft of Flash Fiction (how to write a micro-story from start to finish). I don’t know if I’ll even lose my before-class nerves, but I do know I’ll never forget how much fun it is to develop art with other writers in real-time.
A snapshot of the lovely feedback from the group of workshop attendees;
- “I was so inspired by last night’s class with you Katie. I loved the exercises that have given me a new writing tool I can use to make my short stories stronger and more meaningful. Thanks for creating this awesome course.” – Cindy M.
- “I really enjoyed the workshop and got a lot out of it. The tips (Katie) gave were very valuable. I also really enjoyed the story you shared with us.” – Marilyn R.
- “Thanks for a great class. I really liked (Katie’s) approach, enthusiasm, and positivity.” – Brenda E.
- “Fabulous class! I’m blown away by how much I learned. Thanks for making it fun!” – Laurie M.
- “It was such an enjoyable and informative workshop. I’m hoping to submit my piece to a literary journal soon!” – Hilary F.
Thank you for hosting me Alexandra Writers Centre Society, your students had such wonderful things to say about the writing classes you offer!
If you would like to attend my flash fiction workshop, Packing a Punch: Big Stories in Small Spaces, please stay tuned. I’m offering it again through the Writer’s Guild of Alberta’s conference in May (online this year) and will post the link once registration opens.
Coming up in the spring, I am also two more classes with the Alexandra Writers Centre Society: The Artist’s CV and When You Just Don’t Wanna: A Lazy Writer’s Tips!
