I was honoured to be asked by Avenue Edmonton Magazine to contribute March 2017’s #YEG feature, a monthly segment in which writers with an Edmonton connection share what the city and its spaces mean to them in 500 words or less. My short and sweet piece is is about homesickness and setting down roots and hope and resolve and my hero of a husband.
You can read the piece here, or pick up a copy of Avenue Edmonton’s March 2017 issue in numerous places in and around the city. The March issue also happens to be Avenue’s Best Restaurants Issue, so you know what? Just go pick it up. Featuring Edmonton’s most exciting eateries, it’s a great resource to have on hand. As a matter of fact, I’m considering making it a goal to hit at least one spot in each of their 26+ categories in the next 12 months.
